Why solar power?

Accustomed fossil fuel sources as an oil, coal and gas are diminishing. At the same time the world - wide energy consumption is on the rise constantly. Prices of energy production, transporting and distribution are growing rapidly. In the mid long term, the increasing use of alternate energy sources is necessary to keep up with the global energy needs.
However, a solar source does not cost and those potential are unlimited. Solar power can be generated everywhere, given enough usable surfaces on roofs or on the ground are available. Solar power generators operate without making noise. They do not depending on moving parts, such as windmills or hydraulic transmissions, thus there is no mechanical wear. Solar power plants are emission-free absolutely.
Solar power has biggest potential and incentive of technology, consumption growth in the near future.

The reasons to change our energy supply systems by using RES (Renewable Energy Sources) and particularly Solar Power are:
  • Because energy supply is not secure while energy import dependency from only a few countries is growing strongly
  • Fossil and nuclear energy sources are finite. Wherefore, growing demand and limited resources lead to exploding energy prices
  • Climate change is mainly caused by fossil energy consumption, we have to reduce CO2-emissions worldwide
Only RES and Solar Power:
  • are everlasting
  • are „domestic“ energy sources
  • are sustainable
  • do not harm the climate
  • has great potential to become cheaper and cheaper
  • increase domestic and regional added value
  • are creating jobs for local region
Challenges for RES and Solar Power are:
  • the financing of investments RES are more expensive than fossil and nuclear energy
  • the reconstruction of the energy supply system to a distributed generation system based on RES. Decentralisation of energy supplying
  • public sceptical opinion of changing existing traditional energy generation-supply systems
